SEAM-XTS II X-ray Seam and Tightness Scanner
The SEAMscan XTS™ is a semi-automated, non-destructive unit designed to measure the internal parameters of the double seam.
All measurements are non-destructive resulting in no product waste due to double seam teardown inspection.
Measurements include: Seam Height, Body Hook, Cover Hook, Overlap, Seam Gap, % Body Hook Butting, % Wrinkle Rating (%Tightness). Also Available: Seam Thickness, Countersink Depth, Can Height, 360 Scan for Wrinkles: %Tightness and Amplitude.
Designed specifically for canmakers and brand-owners, SEAMscan XTS™ delivers a high- resolution X-ray double seam measurement and a powerful automatic wrinkle inspection system, in a compact and user-friendly package.
SEAMscan XTS" systems look into the Double Seam without cutting the can.
The SEAMscan XTS" can save canmakers and brand-owners hundreds of thousands of dollars each year simply by reducing product spoilage caused by traditional, destructive Double Seam Inspection methods. 100% of the Double Seam is inspected for Cover Hook Wrinkle (Seam Tightness) and dimentional measurements are collected while preserving the can for sale. The SEAMscan XTS™ achieves this while still utilizing a method directly comparable to FDA accepted visual double seam measurement.
Designed specifically for manufacturing environments, the SEAMscan XTS - X-ray Tightness Scanner is a complete Double Seam measurement tool. Take the guess-work out of Double Seam Evaluation, while reducing Can Seam Inspection costs.
For the first time, operators no longer need to tear down can seams in order to see Cover Hook wrinkles. The SEAMscan XTS™ - X-ray Tightness Scanner automatically scans 100% of the Cover Hook for wrinkles, measures, and reports an objective Seam Tightness value.
Using patent pending technology, the SEAMscan XTS™ - X-ray Tightness Scanner's operator-independent algorithm uses low-power, non-destructive X-rays to look deep inside the Double Seam.
