然而在鋰電池儲能容量方面，技術的迭代速度并不快。特斯拉表示，續航里程大主要因為電池效能加31%，由53kWh至70kWh;新空氣力學設計汽車15%阻力;升級版的輪胎和軸承也20%的阻力。 可撓式電池因為能量產的廠商仍占市場少數，加上成本比鋰電池或其他小型電池高，因此現階段仍較少應用于穿戴式裝置，但伴隨不規則形狀的穿戴式裝置陸續出爐，以及若能成本，未來的應用依舊備受期待。 該科研團隊所使用的化鉬是一種巖石水晶。
