在工程上應用較為廣泛的是復擺顎式破碎機、雷蒙磨粉機、球磨機。國產的鄂式破碎機數最最多的也足復擺鄂式破碎機。復擺鄂式破碎機主要山機架、鄂板、側護板、主軸、飛輪、肘板和調整機構等組成:
機架即機座，實際上是個上下開口的四方斗，主要用作支承偏心軸和承受破碎物料的反作力，.因此要求具有足夠強度，一般采用鑄鋼整體鑄造，規格小的可用優質鑄鐵代替。大型破碎機的機架由分段鑄成后再用螺栓裝配在一起。鑄造工藝較為復雜。自制的小型鄂式破碎機、圓錐式破碎機、烘干機可用40-50毫米厚的鋼板焊成，但其鋼度不如鑄鋼好。
