無刷自控電機軟起動器是將起動電阻直接安裝在電動機的轉軸上，利用電機旋轉時產生的離心力作為動力，控制起動電阻的大小，達到減少電機起動電流、增加起動轉矩，使繞線式異步電動機實現無刷自控運行的裝置。它主要由機殼、起動液、動極板、彈簧、接線柱、安全閥、排氣閥等構成。該起動器具有起動電流小，起動轉矩大，自動適應電源及負載的變化，保護電機等特點。廣泛應用于冶金、機械、石油、化工、礦山、建材、造紙、橡膠、水廠、電站等所有工業領域的球磨機、破碎機、風機、水泵、打漿機、空壓機、軋機、熱磨機、制氧機等電機傳動設備中繞線式異步電動機的起動。它可以代替繞線電機的滑環、碳刷及其起動裝置。
